Summer Workouts — Pictures & Videos, Interviews With Wojo

Author: Dave Klinger (Editor), Photo: Marquette Athletics.

Summer has turned the corner and, sooner or later, so will Marquette hoops. In the meantime, Duane Wilson, Jajuan Johnson, Traci Carter, Sandy Cohen and Sacar Anim are participating in summer workouts at the Al McGuire Center (Luke Fischer is also in attendance, but he’s rehabbing his injured shoulder). Summer workouts are group drills and individual workouts rather than full team practices — the latter is not allowed at this time of the year. It’s not easy to fish for information and updates on these summer workouts (or anything happening in the MU basketball world right now). However, the athletics department has provided bits and pieces through Twitter and Instagram videos, Facebook pictures and a “Wednesdays with Wojo” weekly video series, which are all below.

Summary: Summer basketball is different than fall basketball, we have fun alumni events planned, alumni are great and helping with the program.

Summary: Recruiting class rocks, new guys are great, we like guys who work hard.

The short clips are redundant because they’re all of some player making a shot. We don’t see the mistakes, obviously, so it’s impossible to measure performance.

The early information may not be substantial, but if anything, it’s exciting. If you want to read more about the upcoming season, I suggest going through Matt Velazquez’s blog at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel website. Below are the two most informative articles.

Until then, GO MARQUETTE!
